Pacientes retomam radioterapia no Hospital do Câncer de Rio Branco

O Hospital de Câncer de Rio Branco retomou nesta terça-feira, 10, os atendimentos aos pacientes que necessitam do tratamento de radioterapia. A paciente Maria do Perpétuo Socorro retomou o tratamento na capital acreana. “Estou muito feliz por retomar meu tratamento aqui em Rio Branco”, disse.

O médico Miguel Guizzardi, responsável técnico da radioterapia, ressalta que com a manutenção da máquina, 18 pacientes, que estavam com encaminhamento para outros estados, poderão fazer a radioterapia no Acre. “Dez pacientes já vieram nesta terça para dar continuidade ao tratamento e os outros oito já agendaram para vir na quarta-feira”, informou.

Na unidade de saúde são realizados 44 atendimentos de radioterapia por dia, auxiliando no tratamento contra o câncer.

Normalmente, um paciente que necessita desse tratamento realiza de 25 a 35 sessões. O tratamento é realizado cinco vezes por semana, e os atendimentos vão das 7 às 19 horas.
